Matthew Suen

Matthew has received dual legal education in Hong Kong SAR and Mainland China, and was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2022. Matthew has been instructed to advise or act as Counsel for clients in arbitrations under the auspices of major arbitral institutions in Asia, including HKIAC, SIAC and CIETAC (HK).

Before joining the Bar, Matthew worked at a Red Circle Firm in Beijing where he specialised in international commercial arbitrations, and also took part in defending the host State in investor-State arbitrations.
In the Vis Moot community, Matthew has served as the MAA Regional Representative for the Greater China Region and Co-Chair of the China Project Team. He is now MAA’s North Asia Chair.
