This edition contains articles presented at the unique occasion of Issues on the CISG Horizon: Conference in Honour of Peter Schlechtriem (1933-2007), held in Vienna on 2 April 2009. The conference was organised by the MAA in dedication to a gentleman who provided leadership, inspiration and guidance to the world of international trade, to a global community of colleagues, to his students, family and friend - and who continues to do so. A number of colleagues and friends paid tributes to Professor Peter Schlechtriem's memory and discussed latest trends and new challenges arising under the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
